Mountain View Distillery

One day Randy had a thought, "If it's this much fun to own a vineyard and winery, how much more fun would it be to have a vineyard, winery AND distillery?" When he mentioned it to Linda, her initial reaction was, "NO WAY!" Eventually he convinced her, but only under certain conditions. He would have to oversee the licensing, paperwork & label approval processes for the spirits while he continued to tend to the vineyard and make wine. Of course, that didn't happen exactly as promised. Together, they worked hard and opened the distillery on Labor Day Weekend in 2013, the same weekend they celebrated the 4th anniversary of the winery and their 24th wedding anniversary.

Spirits

Original Shine (50% Alc. by Vol.) - Straight corn whisky! Our closest to a neutral spirit, it can be substituted for vodka and makes an incredible margarita! $24

Apple Pie Shine (20% or 40% Alc. by Vol.) - Tastes like apple pie in a glass. This shine is nice for sipping on its own or in a mug of warm cider! $20/$22

Randy's Brandy (40% Alc. by Vol.) - Our grape based brandy continues to mellow with age, releasing notes of vanilla & spice from our latest barrel. We use it to fortify our port wines & in our red sangria. $22

Red Raspberry Vodka (40% Alc. by Vol.) - The first of our vodka line, it's bursting with raspberry flavor! This makes a delicious raspberry martini! $22

Pear Vodka (40% Alc. by Vol.) - With a subtle and delicate hint of pear, this too will add a new twist on your martini! $22

Blueberry Vodka (40% Alc. by Vol.) - Hints of sweetness fuse with the natural tartness of the berry. Exceptionally tasty mixed with icy lemonade. $22 

Peach Vodka (40% Alc. by Vol.) - It begins with the aroma of a ripe peach & finishes with a light clean flavor. Add this to our LeCrescent sparkling wine for a perfect peach bellini. $22 

*Our distilled spirits are not available for consumption by the bottle or as shots on the premises.  The $5 tasting fee includes 3 - 1/2 ounce samples and a souvenir logo shot glass. We occasionally offer mixed drinks made with our spirits.
